MAKEUP FOR SNOW DAYS SCHEDULED

The GSD has scheduled weather makeup days for Mon., Feb. 14th, and Mon., April 25th. Since Feb. 14th was scheduled only as a GSD staff development day, we were already planning to hold Adult Ed. Center classes on our regular schedule that day.

Student handbook calendars WILL need to be updated to reflect that we will hold classes on Mon., April 25th.

CLOSED AS PLANNED FOR THE HOLIDAY ON MON., JAN. 17TH

It's been on the calendars and our "upcoming events" list in the righthand column, so everyone should know that we are closed today. We will reopen tomorrow morning at 8:00 a.m. for our regular schedule.

Express Class GED Testing Fee Scholarships

The Grenada Community Foundation is funding nearly $600 in GED testing fee scholarships for students in our 2011 first spring class session's GED Express class. Two additional testing fee scholarships totalling $80 were donated before the holidays by an individual. This is the second day of Spring Session 1 registration, and the GED Express Class roster is already full. A few more adult learners may be added to the list in standby status.
More information on the Grenada Community Foundation may be found at www.grenadacf.org/cms. Our thanks to Deborah Bailey and her board and all contributors! It truly takes a community to make a difference.
