The Grenada School
District’s Adult GED Testing CenterTM
recently received a $5,000 grant from the Dollar General Literacy Organization
to expand its adult literacy services.
Specifically, the grant will support the expansion of GED® testing from the current pencil-and-paper only
testing to offer computer-based testing (CBT) as soon as possible this year.
This expansion is especially important because the new, more in-depth GED® test series that will be released on January 2,
2014, will be offered only in approved computer testing labs across the nation. The additional testing stations provided by
this grant will also allow more first-time GED® candidates to test this fall.
