December 2, 2025

How will you help us this year?

We have a couple of students who need tutors.

We need funds for our materials and projects.

How can you help GLAD this year on GivingTuesday or any day of the year?

  1. Volunteer your time. You can volunteer to tutor, proctor GED testing, assemble “A Book for Every Baby” bags, work on GLAD’s scrapbook, help in the Adult Education Center’s office or computer lab, or in other ways based on your skills. Click the button below to volunteer or call 662-227-6101.

  2. Donate to the local Literacy Fund. You can provide a monthly gift, yearly gift, or a one time gift to the adult literacy program. Call us for more information at 662-227-6101, come by and see us at 423 S. Line St., Grenada, or mail checks to GLAD, PO Box 533, Grenada, MS 38902-0533.

  3. Share about us on social media. Talk to your friends about our organization and what we do. Share our website, https://grenadaliteracy.blogspot.com.

  4. Give Books. You can purchase books for us to use in our “A Book for Every Baby” project or the Reading Strategies/Head Start project. Contact us for a list of appropriate books for these projects.

We are excited about how you will support the literacy needs of the Grenada community!

GLAD

The Grenada League for Adult Development (GLAD) established in 1986 is a nonprofit volunteer literacy council dedicated to helping adults of all ages to improve their lives and their communities by learning and improving their basic skills, especially focusing on their reading, writing, technology, math, and problem-solving skills. GLAD also provides help in improving English speaking skills for internationals. The Grenada Adult Education Center is a collaboration between GLAD, the Grenada School District's Adult Education Program, and the Elizabeth Jones Library.
